Privacy Policy

TavoPOS is point-of-sale software published by CFEDTECH LLC ("we," "us"). We built TavoPOS to keep your business data on your own device and in your own accounts. We do not run servers that store your business records, and we do not sell your data. This policy explains what the app handles and why.

1. Information You Enter

TavoPOS stores information you voluntarily provide to operate your business, including: your store name, address, and contact details (Settings); products, departments, prices, and tax rates you create; transactions such as sales and returns; Accounts Receivable records — which may include the name, contact details, credit limit, balance, and purchase history of customers you choose to track; and optional cashier names and PINs. This information is created by you and used only to run the app on your device.

2. Where Your Data Is Stored

All of your business data is stored locally on your device using the device's on-device storage. We do not collect or store your business data on our own servers. If you uninstall the app without a backup, that data is removed with it.

3. Google Drive Backup (Optional)

If you choose to connect Google Drive, TavoPOS backs up snapshots of your store data to your own Google account. We request only the drive.file permission, which limits the app to files it creates — it cannot see the rest of your Drive. We never receive or store your Google password, and we do not access your Drive on our servers. Google's handling of your account is governed by Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You can disconnect at any time in Settings.

4. Payment Processing (Optional)

If you enable card payments, payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and its Terminal / Tap to Pay services. Card numbers and payment credentials are handled by Stripe and are not stored on your device or by us. When you connect your Stripe account, you do so directly with Stripe; we receive only an account reference needed to route your own transactions. Stripe's handling of payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy.

5. Information We Do Not Collect

TavoPOS does not include third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking SDKs, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not collect your customers' personal data beyond what you choose to enter (for example, an accounts-receivable customer name).

6. Your Customers' Information (Accounts Receivable)

Features such as Accounts Receivable let you store information about your own customers — for example a name, phone number, credit limit, balance, or purchase history. This information is entered by you, stored locally on your device (and in your own Google Drive backup if you enable it), and is not accessed or used by us. When you enter another person's information into TavoPOS, you are responsible for having the right to collect and store it and for complying with any privacy, data-protection, or consumer-protection laws that apply to your business and your relationship with that customer. TavoPOS provides the tool; you remain responsible for your customers' information.

8. Sales Tax & Cash Rounding

TavoPOS provides tools to configure sales tax rates and optional cash rounding. These are aids only — you are solely responsible for determining, collecting, reporting, and remitting correct taxes and for any required rounding disclosure. TavoPOS does not provide tax, accounting, or legal advice.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect the app. Card payments are processed under Stripe's encryption. Because your data lives on your device, we strongly recommend enabling a device passcode or biometric lock and keeping backups enabled.

10. Children's Privacy

TavoPOS is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Your Choices

You control your data: edit or delete records in the app, export or back it up at any time, and disconnect Google Drive or Stripe whenever you like. Deleting the app removes the local data from your device.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last Updated" date above, and material changes may also be noted in the app. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
